Global Water Resources Development Programs

Initiatives of the Global Water Resources Development Programs

The global water crisis has reached alarming levels, affecting many households around the world. Many people lack access to safe drinking water, which poses significant health risks, compromises hygiene, and can lead to death. Water scarcity is not only an urgent but also a multifaceted problem influenced by various factors, including climate change, pollution, population growth, and poor infrastructure. Demand for safe drinking water is increasing, while supply is decreasing, leading to severe shortages in many regions. Chronic water shortages have disastrous consequences for communities. Without adequate access to safe drinking water, sanitation becomes a challenge, leading to the proliferation of waterborne diseases such as cholera, dysentery, and typhoid fever. These diseases place additional burdens on already strained health systems, disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations, especially children and the elderly. Additionally, a lack of clean water can hamper access to education.

Beyond health implications, access to clean water plays a pivotal role in economic stability. Inadequate water supply leads to a variety of economic burdens, including increased healthcare expenditures, loss of productivity due to illness, and time spent in search of safe water. Effective water resource management is crucial for a thriving economy. It ensures reliable water supplies for various sectors, including agriculture, industry, and households, boosting productivity and economic growth. It also reduces costs associated with water treatment and infrastructure, lowers the risk of water-related disasters, and creates job opportunities in related fields. In many countries, women, and children often bear the responsibility of fetching water, which detracts from educational opportunities and income-generating activities. When households experience water scarcity, the entire community suffers, as limited access hampers job creation and hinders local business prospects. Disparities in water availability can exacerbate existing inequalities within society, often disproportionately affecting marginalized groups. This inequality can lead to social unrest and conflict, further destabilizing regions.

Access to clean drinking water is a fundamental necessity for human existence and a critical element in public health. Securing clean water sources, communities can significantly reduce morbidity and mortality rates, fostering healthier environments conducive to development. To achieve these goals, the World Kingdom will collaborate with governments and organizations by establishing systems that ensure access to safe drinking water without discrimination. Contributing to the improvement of the quality of drinking water supply and its continuous distribution by supporting water distribution agencies with funding, subsidies, and financial assistance. Investing in infrastructure and improving water management. Providing and assisting in the installation of quality water distribution systems, including: dead-end, network (or lattice), radial, gravity, pumped, desalination, parallel supply, meters, ring systems, water treatment, etc. Ensuring that the State of each country provides, without discrimination, access to sufficient, safe, affordable, and clean water for all. Strengthening inspections of water distribution companies and imposing penalties for non-compliance with water quality standards in all countries. Providing the poorest with wells, hand pumps, piped networks, rainwater harvesting systems, and domestic water treatment facilities using filters, solar disinfection, or flocculants to make water safe to drink. Advocating to influence governments, businesses, and international institutions on water, sanitation, and hygiene issues. Organizing heatwave relief and relief operations, distributing bottled water and humanitarian supplies in all countries. Coordinating sanitation and hygiene training. Establishing local water committees to maintain water supplies. Raising public awareness and informing the public about measures to prevent water waste, misuse, overconsumption, and contamination. No homeowner or tenant should have to pay a water bill And water resources represent Your Majesty, The King of The World/ King of Justice Evrad Kounchou Kameugne (the Founder and Owner).
